गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Nepal ∕ 6 lakhs collected for kidney patient Nepal 6 lakhs collected for kidney patient KathmanduPati October 18, 2020 KATHMANDU : A financial support of Rs. 650,000 has been collected from Nepalis living and working in US for Santosh Ranamagar of Byas municipality-14. Ranamagar is suffering from kidney failure and currently surviving on dialysis. The funds were raised after the initiative of Bhim Thapa, Bhuban Aley, Ashish Thapa and Kuldip Ranamagar, who are currently living in Texas and New York, USA. The amount was handed over to Ranamagar on Saturday. Tara Bahadur Thapa, father of fund raiser Bhim Thapa and ward chairperson Kajiman Shrestha handed over the amount to Thapa at his home. Earlier, Rs 658,624 had been collected by the Save Santosh Campaign. Santosh Ranamagar has thanked all the generous donors and said that he now hopes to live. “A large amount is required for a kidney transplant, hence I would like to thank all my fellow citizens at home and abroad for this support,” he said.
