गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Nepal ∕ Financial assistance over Rs 2.6 million for treatment of child bitten by snake Nepal Financial assistance over Rs 2.6 million for treatment of child bitten by snake KathmanduPati October 14, 2020 KASKI : People in Nepal and abroad have provided financial assistance amounting to Rs 26,25,203 for the treatment of Bishal Poudel of Taprang, a boy from Madi Rural Municipality-6 in the Kaski district who had been bitten by a snake. The 13-year-old had been bitten by a snake on the night of August 12 while he was sleeping at his house. He had been undergoing treatment at the ICU in the Paschimanchal Regional Hospital for 42 days. Thereafter, he had been referred to the Kathmandu-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, where he is currently still being treated. A campaign named ‘Save Bishal Poudel’ had been initiated to collect financial aid for the treatment of the boy, whose family’s financial condition was found to be bleak. The Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) on 20 September had published a news story about the boy and how his family was unable to take him to Kathmandu for further treatment due to their financial condition. The campaign’s coordinator Yog Bahadur Chettri (Rabi) shared that financial aid was collected from Nepalis at home and abroad who wanted to help save Poudel’s life. The boy’s brother Bijaya Poudel shared that so far Rs 1.2 million has been spent on his treatment in Pokhara and Kathmandu.
