The Department of Drug Administration, the District Administration Office, Nuwakot and the District Police Office in Nuwakot found during its market monitoring that five pharmacies in the district headquarters Bidur were involved in such activities. Each five errant pharmacies namely Sapkota Medical Hall in Bidur Municipality-2, Samman Medical Hall and Battar Polyclinic and Anjana Medical Hall and Bidur Pharmacy in Bidur Municipality-4 and Samir Pharmacy in Bidur Municipality-1 were fined Rs 200,000, according to the Chief District Officer of Nuwakot, Jhangnath Dhakal. The errant pharmacies have been asked to deposit the fine in a bank account within seven days and provide a copy of the deposit slip to the District Administration Office in Nuwakot. Similarly, the inspection team has booked several pharmacies for operating without meeting the basic criteria. The Chayanath Medical Hall and Deurali Pharmacy at Myagang Rural Municipality-3 were operating without registration and have been sealed off. Likewise, the Tadi Pharma and Dhupcheshwor Pharmacy in the Tadi Rural Municipality of the district were also fined Rs 10,000 each for not having a purchase bill.
