गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Nepal ∕ Government to replace thatched roofs within three years Nepal Government to replace thatched roofs within three years KathmanduPati October 05, 2020 KATHMANDU : The Minister of State for Urban Development, Rambir Manandhar has said that thatched roofs around the country will be replaced within the next three years. The Minister said this in a speech he gave today on the occasion of World Habitat Day. He said that arrangements will be made to replace thatched roofs with modern roofs for the homes of at least 100 thousand families at all 753 local levels. Reiterating that the state will fulfill its responsibility of protecting poor citizens, the Minister said that the government is committed to providing safe shelter to its citizens as per the Act Related to Right to Shelter.
