During the meeting held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar on Thursday, the duo agreed to settle all issues of party unification by the end of the Nepali month of Ashoj (mid-October ). Although it had been agreed that all works of the party unification would be agreed in three months when the then CPN (UML) and CPN (Maoist-Center) merged to form the NCP on May17, 2018, the formation of three commissions along with 32 departments of the party is still uncertain. Earlier on Wednesday, the secretariat meeting of the party had entrusted the responsibility of settling all unification related issues to the two chairmen, who have intensified discussions to settle the remaining issues around the merger of the country’s two largest communist parties.
