The parliamentary hearing committee that has scheduled its hearing for today decided to postpone after complainants filing complaints against the ambassadors-designate did not show up to the meeting. Earlier on October 2, the cabinet meeting had decided to nominate ambassadors to the US, the UK and South Africa. The cabinet meeting had decided to nominate former Finance Minister Dr Yuba Raj Khatiwada to the post of ambassador to the US, former Chief Secretary Lok Darshan Regmi and Dr Nirmal Kumar Biswokarma to South Africa. Although four complaints were filed against Khatiwada and Regmi, the complainants did not come to contact with the committee. There was no complaint filed against Biswokarma.
