Upon the recommendation of the government, President Bhandari dissolved the parliament and fixed the date of the election of the House. Earlier on Sunday morning, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had recommended President Bhandari to dissolve the House and hold elections of the parliament to get the fresh mandate of the people. Issuing a statement, Spokesperson of the Office of the President, Badrinath Adhikari, said that the President dissolved the House and set the election dates. According to the statement, the President, upon the recommendation of the government, fixed the date of mid-term elections of the HoR. The first phase of the election will be held on April 30 and the second phase on May 10 next year.
