Addressing a gathering of party cadres at Karki Banquet in Kathmandu on Wednesday, Prime Minister Oli alleged Prachanda of making an electoral alliance with Nepali Congress just to secure the victory of her daughter Renu Dahal as the mayor of Chitwan Metropolitan City during local level polls. He has also urged Prachanda to shun the politics of conspiracy. Coming down heavily on rival leaders of NCP, he claimed that Prachanda and Madhav Kumar Nepal-led faction does not have a majority in the ruling party. “I hug him as a friend whereas he does it as Dhritarashtra. I have told him to shun the politics of conspiracy and serve people with honesty. He says that he has a majority in the party. What majority does he have?” he questioned, drawing an analogy between Prachanda and Dhritarashtra, a king in Hindu epic Mahabharata notorious for his ignorance to the suffering of the people and love for his children.
