Accusing him of supporting a plan to topple the provincial government, Chief Minister Rai ousted Economic Affairs and Planning Minister Angbo as a cabinet member. Chief Minister Rai accused Minister Angbo of not supporting him in the government and making efforts to register a no-confidence motion against him. Chief Minister Rai said that he fired Angbo as Economic Affairs and Planning Minister in accordance with Article 162 of the constitution. The escalating intra party conflict in the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has also been causing ripples in various provinces in recent days. Earlier on Friday, the rival faction of the ruling NCP led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ had registered a no-confidence motion against Bagmati’s Chief Minister Dormani Poudel.
