CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal filed a petition at the Supreme Court on Tuesday seeking the review of the verdict that not only struck down the decision of the Election Commission to provide the name Nepal Communist Party (NCP) to the merged party but also annulled the unification process between two main Communist parties. Stating that the apex court had crossed the constitutional and legal limit, Prachanda-led CPN (Maoist Center) asked the Supreme Court to review the verdict of March 7. “If the Supreme Court starts issuing verdict just to meet someone’s political motive, there will be nothing left except anarchism in the country,” said Prachanda after registering the appeal. He said that he was confident of the apex court correcting its earlier verdict.
