The standing committee meeting was scheduled to be held at 11 am today at its party office Paris Danda. The party had called its standing committee meeting to make decision on withdrawing its support to the government led by CPN (UML). Shree Ram Dhakal, CPN (Maoist Center) Secretary, said that the meeting was put off as some leaders were outside Kathmandu Valley. Following a decision of the main opposition party Nepali Congress to seek resignation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and take initiative to form government under its own leadership, CPN (Maoist Center) has been preparing to withdraw its support to the Oli-led government. CPN (Maoist Center) has expressed its willingness to form a coalition government with Nepali Congress and Janata Samajwadi Party. CPN (Maoist Center) was scheduled to make the formal decision to withdraw the party’s support to the government.
