Dr Nabin Yadav has won the election to the post of mayor of Siraha municipality by receiving 11,143 votes. Yadav’s closest competitor Upendra Kumar Yadav of the Nepali Congress received 8,732 votes. Similarly, Babita Kumari Sah of the CPN (UML) has registered her victory to the post of deputy-mayor of Siraha municipality. She gathered 10,126 votes while her nearest rival Sarita Yadav of the Nepali Congress got 8,577 votes. Likewise, UML’s Bhola Prasad Pokharel has won the election to the post of mayor of Karjanha municipality. He gathered 3,839 votes against Keshav Prasad Sah of Janata Samajbadi Party. Sah received 3,223 votes. Laxmi Kumari Shrestha of Janata Samajbadi Party has been elected deputy-mayor of the municipality by receiving 3,487 votes. Her closest rival Nirmala Kumari Devi of the CPN (UML) got 3,095 votes.
