In a press conference organised here today by the CPN (UML) Parliamentary Party, the parliamentary party chairperson Prithivi Subba Gurung rued that the request to resume the Province Assembly meeting was turned down. He said the Province Assembly meeting is long overdue. Leader Gurung blamed that the provincial government was being engaged in budget sharing instead discussing the endorsement of the Province’s budget for the upcoming fiscal year, 2022/23 in the budget session. The provincial government trying to discuss the proposed budget in the Financial Development Committee was against the parliamentary practice, rules and laws, he argued. He demanded earliest resolution to the current impasse.
