The incident happened in the provincial capital of Quetta where the police were conducting a search operation against the terrorist after receiving an intelligence tip-off about them, the Quetta police told media . During the operation, a gun battle broke out between the two sides, in which two policemen were killed on the spot and two others succumbed to injuries later at a hospital, said the police. Exchange of firing halted after the fatalities at the police side, the law enforcement agency said.The police did not reveal the loss of life on the militants’ side.
