गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Politics ∕ HoR forms draft committee to amend regulations Politics HoR forms draft committee to amend regulations KathmanduPati May 15, 2023 File Photo KATHMANDU – A meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) today formed a draft committee to amend the ‘Federal Parliament, Joint Meeting and Joint Committee (Work Operations) Regulations’. Prior to this, lawmaker Devendra Poudel proposed the meeting to form the draft committee and it was endorsed by the meeting. Lawmakers Ishwori Neupane and Yogesh Bhattarai backed the proposal. The 16-member committee is assigned to prepare the draft of the amendment within seven days of its formation. Likewise, Minister for Water Supply Mahendra Ray Yadav proposed the meeting to send the ‘Corruption Prevention (First Amendment) Bill, 2077 BS’ to the respective committee for clause-wise deliberations and it was unanimously accepted by the meeting. The Minister presented the proposal to this regard before the meeting on behalf of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’. More, the meeting extended tributes to Purushottam Basnet, the member in the first (2008) Constituent Assembly. He died on May 12 at the age of 78. The lower house of the Federal Parliament shall meet again at 11:00 am on May 18.
