Speaking at a programme held at Galeshwar Ashram located in Devghat Rural Municipality-5 of Tanahun this morning, Finance Minister Mahat said that Devghat is a religious pilgrimage site and the government will support infrastructure development of the place. On the occasion, Finance Minister Mahat observed the landslide that took place near Galeshwar Ashram. He expressed commitment to provide government support for the control of landslides. Chairperson of Devghat Rural Municipality, Til Bahadur Thapa requested the Minister to allocate the necessary budget for development of education, health, infrastructure and other areas of Devghat. Stating that Devghat is becoming a destination for Hindus from all over the world, Thapa drew the Minister’s attention to declare it as a religious tourism destination.
