According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the rockets were fired at the Upper Galilee area and the Israeli-annexed Golan Heights. The country’s aerial defense systems intercepted some of the rockets. There were no immediate reports of casualties. The IDF confirmed in a statement that in response, its fighter jets struck three launchers used to fire rockets earlier in the morning. The salvos came in response to Israeli airstrikes in the Beqaa Valley of Lebanon, approximately 45 km east of Beirut. The IDF said in a statement that the airstrikes targeted two sites belonging to Hezbollah’s aerial forces in retaliation for recent Hezbollah aircraft attacks launched towards the Golan Heights. The Beqaa Valley, some 100 km from the Israel border, is considered a Hezbollah stronghold.-(Xinhua) Write your comments RELATED NEWS China, India to resume boundary talks in Beijing Nepal, UAE move to strengthen labour cooperation Police seizes smuggled electronics, tobacco at airport US warns Iran trade partners of tough sanctions Foreign Minister Khanal to attend NAM Commemoration in Serbia Japanese Encephalitis deaths rise, government urges vigilance Top Headlines Monsoon is predictable and Nepal’s disaster response should be too1 When the State Pulls the Trigger, Who Answers ?2 Promotion Linked to Future Military Leadership: Major General Magar Could Become Army Chief3 Before the Ballots: How Oli Lost the Political Narrative4 Nepal “a Buffer State”: Rethinking foreign policy in relative terms5 Nepal’s Political Renaissance: The rise of the RSP, the re-ordering of the old political order and the political path forward6 Balen’s Silence Has Invited Curiosity, Confusion, and Concerns7 Jagdamba Group Chairman Shankar Agrawal Arrested8 TRENDING What Makes Prithivi Narayan Shah a Philosopher and a Truly Democratic King?
