This is due to partial influence of local winds, westerly winds and a low pressure area extending from Uttar Pradesh to West Bengal in India, says the Hydrology and Weather Forecasting Division. At present, some places of Koshi are experiencing light rain with thunder and lightning. Later this afternoon, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in a few places of Koshi and Bagmati provinces and one or two places in the rest of the hilly areas, according to the bulletin issued by the division this morning. There is also a possibility of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hills and mountain regions of Koshi and Bagmati provinces. Tonight, the weather will remain partly cloudy to mostly cloudy in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Sudurpaschim provinces, the department said.
