Province Head Krishna Bahadur Gharti Magar administered the oath to Janmajay Timilsina as Minister for Social Development, Devkaran Kalwar as Minister for Forests and Environment, and Aadesh Kumar Agrawal as Minister for Internal Affairs and Law at the Office of the Province Head in Butwal. On Wednesday, Lumbini Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya expanded his Cabinet, appointing two ministers from the Nepali Congress and one from the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) led by Ashok Rai. Despite this being the third Cabinet expansion, the Council of Ministers is incomplete. Out of the 12 ministries in Lumbini, the Ministry of Youth and Sports is still without a minister.
