KathmanduPati September 18, 2025 KATHMANDU – Prime Minister Sushila Karki and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a phone conversation today from the Prime Minister’s Office at Singha Durbar, which lasted about half an hour. During the call, PM Modi thanked PM Karki for bringing the situation under control peacefully despite the recent incidents in Nepal. He also expressed sorrow over the losses suffered by the country and stated that India is ready to provide all possible assistance to the Nepalese government in this situation. During the conversation, PM Karki wished Modi a happy birthday and expressed her expectation for continued support. After the call, PM Modi shared on social media: “I had a warm conversation with Prime Minister Sushila Karki of Nepal’s interim government. I expressed my heartfelt condolences for the recent tragic human losses and reiterated India’s steadfast support for her efforts to restore peace and stability.
