गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Special ∕ Enroll school students only after new academic session: Supreme Court Special Enroll school students only after new academic session: Supreme Court KathmanduPati April 03, 2026 KATHMANDU – The Supreme Court (SC) has issued an interim order to the academic institutions to accept new admissions in schools only after the beginning of the new academic session. The SC has directed the schools not to issue notice for new admission in the context that results of the annual examinations were not announced and the academic session was not started. A single bench of Justice Balkrishna Dhakal made this interim order, stating that the students’ admission process should begin only after the commencement of the new academic session. In Nepal, new academic session begins on Baishakh 2. The SC has stated that there should be the matching of result of the examinations, academic session and certificate for admission. Likewise, the SC has ordered the opponents to furnish a written response within 15 days by directing the concerned stakeholders to work as per the existing laws.
