गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Breaking ∕ Shrestha appointed as Acting Executive Director of NEA Breaking Shrestha appointed as Acting Executive Director of NEA KathmanduPati May 13, 2026 KATHMANDU – Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Officiating Executive Director Dirghayu Kumar Shrestha has been appointed as the Acting Executive Director. Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Biraj Bhakta Shrestha appointed Shrestha to the post today through a ministerial decision. Shrestha has working with the NEA for the past 29 years. He joined the NEA as a seventh-level officer in 2054 BS. Similarly, Minister Shrestha has appointed two new board members for the NEA. Among the newly appointed members, Anshukiran Shahi of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-15 has been included in the Board of Directors, representing the private sector and Krishna Basel of Nargajun Municipality-5 on behalf of the consumers.
