Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle had presented a proposal seeking passage of the Bill, which was endorsed by a majority of votes in the parliament meeting today. Lawmakers Hari Prasad Bhusal and Sushil Khadka withdrew their amendment proposals, while the amendment proposals of lawmakers Ganga Laxmi Awal, Dr Pushpa Raj Kandel, Harka Raj Rai, Parbati BK and Narendra Kumar Kerung were denied by a majority of votes. Currently, a clause-wise discussion is underway on ‘Bill to Raise Public Debt, 2083’.
