According to a public notice issued by the central bank on Tuesday, the bond, titled “Bond 2027 ‘E'” will be auctioned online. Participation is limited to licensed ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ class banks and financial institutions that are recognised by NRB as counterparties. The central bank said participating institutions must specify both the amount they wish to bid and the interest rate they are offering. Interest rate bids can be quoted up to four decimal places. NRB has set the minimum bid amount at Rs 50 million. Bids above that amount must be submitted in multiples of Rs 50 million, up to the total amount being offered. The notice did not provide additional details beyond the bidding conditions.
