An emergency meeting of the Disaster Council held earlier Wednesday decided to release Rs 10 million each to Nuwakot and Rasuwa and Rs 5 million to Dhading. The funds will be sent through the respective District Disaster Management Funds, according to disaster risk reduction expert Dr. Dharmaraj Upreti. The financial assistance is intended to support immediate emergency response in the affected districts following the recent flooding. Authorities are proceeding with the necessary arrangements to release the funds without delay.
