गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Breaking ∕ ICC confirms schedule for 2027 world cup qualifier Breaking ICC confirms schedule for 2027 world cup qualifier KathmanduPati August 05, 2026 Kathmandu [Nepal], August 5 – The International Cricket Council (ICC) has scheduled the 2027 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier to be held from Feb 22 to March 23, 2027 although the host venue has yet to be announced. Under the revised World Cup format unveiled by the ICC in July the 10-team qualifying tournament will determine the final places for the 2027 World Cup which will be jointly hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia from Oct 4 to Nov 21 across 12 venues. The winner of the qualifier will secure direct entry into the 14-team World Cup. The teams finishing second, third and fourth will advance to the tournament’s first phase known as the super series where one additional team will qualify for the main 12-team stage. Qualification for the 10-team tournament will be based on the ODI rankings as of Sept 30, 2026. Excluding hosts South Africa and Zimbabwe the two lowest-ranked full member nations, the top four teams from the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 and four teams emerging from the World Cup Qualifier Playoff will earn places. The playoff will feature the bottom four League 2 teams and four Challenge League sides. The playoff format has yet to be confirmed by the ICC.
