Khan the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was taken to the private hospital for a detailed health assessment after the Supreme Court directed the federal government to arrange necessary medical tests within two days.

According to local media outlet Dawn, Khan was transported to the hospital under tight security and returned to jail after completing the examinations. Security was significantly increased around the hospital during his visit with Pitrus Bukhari Road and Service Road South closed to the public from Thursday night.

More than 800 personnel from the Islamabad Capital Territory Police, local administration and Pakistan Rangers were deployed for the operation. A joint team of police and prison officials coordinated Khan’s transportation and security arrangements.
