गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Breaking ∕ Nepal Central bank updates foreign exchange rates Saturday Breaking Nepal Central bank updates foreign exchange rates Saturday KathmanduPati August 08, 2026 Kathmandu [Nepal], August 8 – Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published its official foreign exchange rates for Saturday setting the buying rate of the US dollar at NPR 152.04 and the selling rate at NPR 152.64. According to the central bank, the euro is valued at NPR 175.27 for buying and NPR 175.96 for selling while the British pound sterling stands at NPR 204.36 and NPR 205.16 respectively. The Swiss franc is trading at NPR 187.59 for buying and NPR 188.33 for selling. Among other major currencies the Australian dollar is priced at NPR 107.04 for buying the Canadian dollar at NPR 108.45 and the Singapore dollar at NPR 118.67. The Chinese yuan has been fixed at NPR 22.53 for buying and NPR 22.62 for selling while the Saudi riyal and Qatari riyal are trading at NPR 40.50 and NPR 41.72 respectively on the buying side. The exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees remains NPR 160.00 for buying and NPR 160.15 for selling. The central bank said the exchange rates may be revised at any time depending on market conditions. It also noted that commercial banks may quote different rates, with the latest official exchange rates available through the Nepal Rastra Bank’s website.
