गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Breaking ∕ Nepal Tourism reports 178 Indians missing in flood Breaking Nepal Tourism reports 178 Indians missing in flood KathmanduPati August 27, 2026 Kathmandu [Nepal], August 27 – Nepal’s Tourism Board has updated its situation report following devastating flash floods in the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers, reporting 644 travelers missing from affected areas including 127 Nepali nationals and 178 Indian nationals. The floods severely damaged riverside areas in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading and Gorkha. The preliminary figures were received from trekking and travel companies and are being verified with travel agencies, guides, local authorities and security agencies. The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Nepal Tourism Board, Tourist Police and tourism stakeholders are coordinating efforts to establish the whereabouts and safety of missing travelers and rescue or evacuate injured and stranded people.
