गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Breaking ∕ Nepal disaster relief fund crosses Rs 12 billion Breaking Nepal disaster relief fund crosses Rs 12 billion KathmanduPati September 10, 2026 Kathmandu [Nepal], September 10 – A total of Rs 12.43 billion has been deposited in the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund so far according to the office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers. As of 9 am Thursday the fund had a balance of Rs 9.14 billion across nine banks, the office said. In addition $21.63 million has been deposited in US dollar accounts maintained by the fund at two banks. After converting the dollar balance into Nepali rupees and combining it with the rupee balance the total amount available in the fund stood at Rs 12.43 billion. According to the details the fund received an additional Rs 172.57 million in Nepali currency and $274,062 in US currency on September 10 alone. The fund is being used to support government efforts related to disaster response and relief. The latest figures come as authorities continue relief, rescue and rehabilitation efforts following the devastating floods that affected several parts of the country.
