Kathmandu [Nepal], September 10 – Prime Minister Balendra Shah has called a meeting of the Council of Ministers for 3 pm today at the office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar.
The meeting is expected to discuss contemporary issues with a major focus on the government’s ongoing response to the devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi river in Rasuwa on August 26.
The government has been continuously engaged in search, rescue, medical treatment, relief and rehabilitation efforts following the disaster.
According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, Shah called the cabinet meeting to make necessary decisions and further strengthen the effectiveness of search, rescue, relief and rehabilitation efforts in the flood-affected areas.
The meeting comes as authorities continue efforts to assist people affected by the disaster and address the damage caused by the floods.
The government is expected to review the ongoing response and discuss measures to improve coordination and support for affected communities.
