According to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (OPMCM), the meeting is focused on ongoing search and rescue operations the distribution of humanitarian assistance and the availability of treatment facilities for those affected. Shah is expected to receive briefings on the latest developments and issue necessary directions to the security agencies as relief and rescue efforts continue. A meeting between Shah and Nepali Army Chief Ashok Raj Sigdel is currently underway at the OPMCM. The prime minister is scheduled to meet Nepal Police Inspector General Dan Bahadur Karki and Armed Police Force Inspector General Narayan Dutta Poudyal afterward.
