गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Breaking ∕ Two rescued alive from Trishuli 3A tunnel Breaking Two rescued alive from Trishuli 3A tunnel KathmanduPati September 04, 2026 Kathmandu [Nepal], September 4 – Two workers trapped inside the tunnel of the Trishuli III A hydropower project since the devastating Bhotekoshi flash flood on August 26 have been rescued alive with both now receiving medical treatment. The rescued workers have been identified as 45-year-old Kabir Maharjan and 32-year-old Sanjay Sah from Saptari. Maharjan works as a mechanical supervisor at the project while Sah is a mechanical foreman. According to Nepali Army spokesperson Raja Ram Basnet, Maharjan was flown to Kathmandu for treatment aboard an Air Dynasty helicopter. Sah is receiving treatment at a hospital in Trishuli, Nuwakot. The rescue of the two workers has raised hopes for finding others who may still be trapped inside the tunnel following the flash flood. Search and rescue teams continue to operate at the project site as rescuers work to locate and evacuate anyone who may remain inside. The Trishuli III A hydropower project is among the infrastructure sites affected by the devastating floods that swept through parts of Nepal, causing extensive damage and leaving people trapped in several locations.
