गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Breaking ∕ Flood relief funds reach Rs 17.54 billion Breaking Flood relief funds reach Rs 17.54 billion KathmanduPati October 11, 2026 Kathmandu [Nepal], October 11 – Financial contributions to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund and Prime Minister’s Relief Fund continue to rise following the Bhotekoshi River flood in Rasuwa with their combined balance reaching Rs 17.54 billion as of Sunday. According to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, the funds held a total balance of Rs 17.54 billion including Rs 12.95 billion deposited in nine commercial banks under the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund. The fund’s US dollar accounts at Himalayan Bank and Laxmi Sunrise Bank held a combined $29.72 million, the office said. The government has already released Rs 1 billion from the funds to support flood-affected areas. Contributions to the relief funds are continuing as authorities work to address the impact of the disaster.
