गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Breaking ∕ Flood sweeps away six bridges, 10 people missing Breaking Flood sweeps away six bridges, 10 people missing KathmanduPati October 11, 2026 Kathmandu [Nepal], October 11 – A flood in the Budhi Gandaki River has swept away six bridges and left at least 10 people missing causing widespread damage to settlements and infrastructure. Assistant Chief District Officer Netra Prasad Sharma said the flood destroyed two motorable bridges and four suspension bridges. The motorable bridges connected Arughat with Tripurasundari in Dhading district and Soti with Manbu in Arughat. The flood also swept away a Bailey bridge linking Wards 1 and 3 of Dharche Rural Municipality. Four suspension bridges connecting Machhikhola with Kerauja, Thado Bhiryang with Jagat and Ghattikhola with Philim among other locations were also destroyed. The flood swept away around 35 houses in Paiyu and Bagar villages of Chumanubri Rural Municipality-3. Jagat, Salleri, Dobhan and Ghattikhola villages also suffered damage.
