In a notice the ministry said the association had repeatedly violated instructions issued under the National Directives Act, 2018. It also said activities carried out by the association’s office-bearers appeared to contradict its government-approved statute and core objectives. According to the ministry it had held discussions with concerned stakeholders on October 9 and urged the association to comply with the provisions of the Act and the ministry’s directive issued on February 24, 2026. However, the ministry said the association had failed to implement the instructions despite repeated requests. The suspension was imposed under Section 6(2) of the National Directives Act after the association failed to comply with directions issued under Section 5. The suspension will remain in effect until the government makes another decision.
