The Wall Street Journal reported that the US military has secretly conducted limited military operations against Iran in recent weeks, quoting American officials familiar with the matter. The reported operations came as US President Donald Trump continued to express hope for a possible diplomatic agreement with Tehran. The report also emerged shortly after Trump played down the possibility of renewed war with Iran following Tuesday’s US midterm elections. When asked about the reported operations the US Department of Defense referred questions to the US Central Command (CENTCOM). However, a US official told The Wall Street Journal that the administration was continuing to address potential threats to American forces deployed across the region. Further details about the reported operations and the explosions on Qeshm Island have not been disclosed. Comments 0 Share your view on this story. Please keep it civil and respectful.
