Among the dead include two minors and one octogenarian. An unidentified group allegedly killed the family of one Tej Bahadur Karki of Khola Gaun of Madi municipality-1. According to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Laldhwaj Subedi, those killed in the incident are Tej Bahadur himself, 58, his mother Parbata 84, spouse Manamaya, 56, daughter-in-law Ranjana, 28, grandson Deepak, 10, and grand-daughter Goma, 5. The neighbours of the family saw their hacked bodies this morning and reported it to the police, according to local teacher Yogendra Ojha. A police team from the district headquarters Khandbari has already left for the site to investigate the incident. Likewise, a security squad from the Area Police Office, Chainpur has reached the incident site to assist in the investigation.
