At a programme organized at Manakamana Raatna Ambika Secondary School based in Khandbari municipality-9, Tumlingtar on Tuesday, Minster Sharma claimed that the power generated from the Arun River would also help reduce the trade deficit of Nepal. On the occasion, he shared that the Nepal government is constructing the Upper Arun, Kimathanka on its investment so as to strengthen Nepal’s national economy. “The government is making investments in different projects, including Arun hydro power”. He made the commitment to spur government investment in Sankhuwasabha as a potential area for resource generation to decrease the trade deficit. Minister Sharma further said that efforts are being made to advance the construction of hydropower projects in Arun through government company.
