Forbes-listed billionaire Binod Chaudhary tests positive for coronavirus

After contracting COVID-19, industrialist Chaudhary will remain in self-isolation

KATHMANDU: Industrialist Binod Chaudhary has contracted the coronavirus.

Chaudhary, who is the the Chairman and President of Chaudhary Group, tested positive for the coronavirus, which has infected more than 35,529 people across the Nepal as of Thursday evening.

In a tweet on Friday, Chaudhary, the only Nepali Forbes-listed billionaire, revealed that he has tested positive for the coronavirus but is asymptomatic.

Requesting to those all who had come to his contact to take possible precautions, he also said that he was isolating himself as per doctor’s advice.

“Dear friends and well wishers – I have tested positive for corona as per PCR test this morning! By the grace of god, so far I have no symptoms. However, I have isolated myself as per dr’s advise. Whoever came in contact with me pls take all possible precautions! regards,” he wrote in his tweet.
