As it is the State authorities that determined the eligibility of the proposals as per the prevalent law and procurement act, the contractors have no role and involvement in it, says a statement issued by the FCAN general secretary Roshan Dahal. There is no significance of dragging the federation into the contract process in which it has no role, the statement says while alerting one and all towards the efforts being made to malign the image of the federation. In the call for bidding announced by the department of railways, more than one hundred construction companies have participated as joint venture companies. Hence, it is contradictory in itself to say that only a few contractors were involved in the bidding process. The FCAN is always against any bidding process that is decided through collusion. Furthermore, the latest bidding process by the department of railways has been declared as legal by the High Court Patan, which certifies that the contracting process was legal, adds the statemen Write your comments RELATED NEWS Nepal conveys condolences after Qatar’s former emir dies Nepal court jails two former ministers over fake Bhutanese refugee… Five-member Nepal delegation departs for China Nepal court revokes ban on private media advertisements Nepal records 73 monsoon disaster incidents in a day Nepal, Australia discuss expanding trade and economic cooperation Top Headlines Before the Ballots: How Oli Lost the Political Narrative1 Monsoon is predictable and Nepal’s disaster response should be too2 Balen’s Silence Has Invited Curiosity, Confusion, and Concerns3 Nepal “a Buffer State”: Rethinking foreign policy in relative terms4 Nepal’s Political Renaissance: The rise of the RSP, the re-ordering of the old political order and the political path forward5 Jagdamba Group Chairman Shankar Agrawal Arrested6 Nepali Congress provides financial assistance for Samba’s treatment7 Promotion Linked to Future Military Leadership: Major General Magar Could Become Army Chief8 TRENDING Once on the Margins, Women Diplomats Are Now Making Their Mark in Nepal’s Foreign Service Sector What Makes Prithivi Narayan Shah a Philosopher and a Truly Democratic King?
