As it is the State authorities that determined the eligibility of the proposals as per the prevalent law and procurement act, the contractors have no role and involvement in it, says a statement issued by the FCAN general secretary Roshan Dahal. There is no significance of dragging the federation into the contract process in which it has no role, the statement says while alerting one and all towards the efforts being made to malign the image of the federation. In the call for bidding announced by the department of railways, more than one hundred construction companies have participated as joint venture companies. Hence, it is contradictory in itself to say that only a few contractors were involved in the bidding process. The FCAN is always against any bidding process that is decided through collusion. Furthermore, the latest bidding process by the department of railways has been declared as legal by the High Court Patan, which certifies that the contracting process was legal, adds the statemen Write your comments RELATED NEWS Nepal urges preparedness as super El Niño looms Nepal’s RSP expands secretariat, names key officials Nepal finance minister rules out demonetisation plan Nepal PM Balendra Shah heads to Pokhara, Mustang Nepal, South Korea sign pact on technology cooperation Nepal’s foreign financing aid shrinking: Finance Minister Top Headlines Monsoon is predictable and Nepal’s disaster response should be too1 When the State Pulls the Trigger, Who Answers ?2 Before the Ballots: How Oli Lost the Political Narrative3 Promotion Linked to Future Military Leadership: Major General Magar Could Become Army Chief4 Nepal’s Political Renaissance: The rise of the RSP, the re-ordering of the old political order and the political path forward5 Nepal “a Buffer State”: Rethinking foreign policy in relative terms6 Balen’s Silence Has Invited Curiosity, Confusion, and Concerns7 Jagdamba Group Chairman Shankar Agrawal Arrested8 TRENDING Pathao, Tootle resume ride sharing services after authorities relax lockdown National Poet Madhav Prasad Ghimire no more Public Relations for a Soldier Nepal Army initiates investigation into case of financial irregularities by Lieutenant Colonel Janmat Karki Army Day : Five facts about Nepal’s ‘blue helmets’ in UN-peacekeeping missions Police make a woman public in connection to Gongabu murder case Hungry people out on streets, but the government nowhere to be seen Gunjan Saxena:The Kargil Girl serves a refreshing depiction of a war film
