In a message, Chair Nepal wished that Makar Sakranti or Maghi festival would encourage all to be united in building a prosperous socialist nation by maintaining peace, harmony, unity and fraternity among all the Nepalis. Saying various castes and communities of Nepal have their festivals with their own cultural importance, he shared that it was responsibility of all to protect and promote these festivals as such festivals play important role to establish mutual harmony and brotherhood, reads the message. Chair Nepal urged to celebrate the festivals by adopting health safety protocols during this hour of COVID-19 pandemic.
