Nepal Army’s Brigadier General Bigyan Dev Pandey gets promoted to Major General

KATHMANDU- The government has decided to promote the Nepal Army’s Brigadier General Bigyan Dev Pandey. The cabinet meeting held on Monday decided to promote Pandey to the post of Major General, according to a cabinet source.

Pandey, who had also worked as the spokesperson of the Nepal Army, is currently the Acting Divisional Commander of the Mid-Western Division of the national army.

According to the source, the government also decided to transfer nearly a dozen Brigadier Generals of the Nepal Army.

The government also gave a promotion to a Colonel of the Nepal Army to the post of Brigadier General, according to the source.
