The cabinet meeting held on Monday decided to promote Pandey to the post of Major General, according to a cabinet source. Pandey, who had also worked as the spokesperson of the Nepal Army, is currently the Acting Divisional Commander of the Mid-Western Division of the national army. According to the source, the government also decided to transfer nearly a dozen Brigadier Generals of the Nepal Army. The government also gave a promotion to a Colonel of the Nepal Army to the post of Brigadier General, according to the source.
