The meeting scheduled to take place at 1:00 pm today has been put off till March 19, according to the Parliament Secretariat. The notice issued by Parliament Secretariat secretary-general Dr Bharat Raj Gautam here today reads, “The meeting of the House of Representatives scheduled on March 1 at 1:00 pm today has been postponed owing to special reasons and has been rescheduled for March 19 at 1:00 pm.” The HoR will meet following the presidential and vice-presidential election. The Presidential election is scheduled on March 9 while the election to the Vice-President is slated for March 17.
