गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Nepal ∕ HoR meeting postponed for half an hour after passing condolence motion Nepal HoR meeting postponed for half an hour after passing condolence motion KathmanduPati June 21, 2023 File Photo KATHMANDU – A meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) has been postponed for half an hour after passing a condolence motion on the demise of Prithvi Bahadur Singh, the Sudurpaschim province government minister for internal affairs and law, in a jeep accident. The late Singh was elected the member of the Province Assembly from Bajhang electoral constituency number 1, Province Assembly constituency 1 on a Nepali Congress ticket in the election held in 2079 BS. Singh is a leader who played a leading role in the democracy movement and who made a significant contribution to rural development. He died in a jeep accident on Tuesday while going to his home district Bajhang from Dadeldhura. A meeting of the lower house of the Federal Parliament expressed condolence on the 65-year-old leader’s untimely demise in the road accident and paid tributes to him. Singh’s spouse and sister-in-law also died in the accident. The HoR has extended heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family.
