KATHMANDU – The two-day Huawei Mobile Nepal Congress (MNC) 2023 has gathered resounding success with the involvement of eco-system partners and garnered commendations from all participants.
Huawei jointly brought Huawei MNC Digital Nepal Conclave with the ICT Foundation of Nepal at The Soaltee Kathmandu on June 23. At the parallel event, Huawei Mobile Nepal Congress, Huawei showcased 5G scenarios, Huawei Cloud Solutions, Green Data Center, Smart Office Technology, smart city concept, smart grid campus, etc. In these two days, The Prime Minister of Nepal, the Minister of Communication and IT, CEOs, and leaders of telecommunication companies visited Huawei MNC and commended the solutions and efforts of Huawei to enable digital Nepal.
There were more than 70 resource persons, including ICT experts from different countries, and 15 sessions were conducted on six topics. Subject matter experts from South Korea, Singapore, India, and Bangladesh were in the conclave.
Six different discussion sessions were held under the three themes on the second day of the Digital Nepal Conclave. In the panel discussion titled ‘Building Foundational Tech Stack and Digital Capability Xu Su, Chief Marketing Officer, Huawei Asia Pacific Region, presented his keynote on International Experience on 5G and IoT for building the Digital Capability of Nepal.
Jim Huang, CEO of Huawei Nepal, placed his closing remarks at the event. He said, “Digital Transformation has become the main engine for economic growth. So, Going Digital is Clearly a right choice. Huawei is glad to be one of the enablers of digital Nepal. And we are glad to bring new solutions and idea for the industry through Huawei Mobile Nepal Congress.
In these two days event, we have seen massive interest from the people who joined Digital Nepal Conclave and Mobile Nepal Congress. The understanding that industry has got will be very beneficial for the growth of Nepal.”
The MNC showcased global innovations and solutions and prompted discussions on their relevance and business viability in the country to expedite the journey toward Digital Nepal. Huawei had set GUIDE-which stands for Gigaverse initiative, Ultra-automation speed up, Intelligent computing and network as a service, Differentiated expectation on demand, and Environmental, social and governance -as the theme of this arrangement.
The conclave was held under the slogan of ‘Fostering Digitally Sakshyam Nepal’ and emphasized Nepal’s capability for digital transformation and its necessary policies and implementation.
