Saying Nepalis in Beirut are safe, Spokesperson at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bharatraj Poudyal, informed Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS), “All Nepalis in Beirut are safe. Nepali Embassy in Cairo is in continuous contact with non-resident consul general and the Non-Resident Nepali Association in Beirut.” Meanwhile, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, has said that he was deeply saddened to learn about the loss of lives and destruction of properties by devastating explosionin Beirut yesterda. He expressed heartfelt condolences, deep sympathies and solidarity to the bereaved families as well as the government and people of Lebanon. A total of 135 people lost their lives and more than 4,000 people were injured in a powerful explosion occurred on Tuesday. There are around 12,000 Nepalis in Lebanon in course of overseas employment.
