HoR meeting postponed

KATHMANDU – Today’s meeting of the House of Representatives has been postponed due to protest of the main opposition party, CPN (UML).

Speaker Devraj Ghimire allocated time to lawmaker Jwala Kumari Sah to speak after CPN (UML) lawmakers obstructed the meeting, standing from their seats.

She demanded formation of a high-level probe committee to investigate on recent gold scam. Speaker Ghimire postponed the meeting after UML lawmakers continued their obstruction and chanted slogans. The HoR will next meet at 1:00 PM on August 14.
