KATHMANDU: President of the United States of America, Donald J Trump, sent a message of felicitation to President Bidya Devi Bhandari on the occasion of Nepal’s Constitution Day and National Day.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the US President Trump sent a message extending best wishes to President Bhandari and the people of Nepal on the occasion of the Constitution Day commemorated on September 19.
Earlier on Friday, Michael R. Pompeo, Secretary of State, had also issued a statement to extend his best wishes to the people of Nepal on Constitution Day.
“For over seven decades, the United States and Nepal have enjoyed friendship and close ties between our peoples, and we are committed to supporting Nepal’s path toward a stable, prosperous, and sovereign future,” read the statement issued by the Secretary of State Pompeo.
“We look forward to continuing our partnership with Nepal and working together on economic recovery, disaster preparedness, and sustainable development, even as we confront the COVID-19 pandemic,” he added, congratulating all Nepalis and wishing them a joyous celebration on this important holiday.
